Mercedes-AMG Reveals the New GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed held in mid-July, Mercedes-AMG unveiled the latest addition to the GT family – the second-generation GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+. The sleek coupe is the brand’s sportiest model yet, with an agile road demeanor, an extra punch of power under the hood, and a head-turning, aerodynamic exterior design. The next-gen GT is set up to arrive at U.S. dealerships in 2025 with a host of tweaks and adjustments that have a huge effect on how it performs on the track and during your daily commute.

The Updated 2025 GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+ Engine

The latest GT 63 Pro gallops around the track powered by a handcrafted Biturbo V8 with 603 ponies and 627 lb-ft of torque. That’s 26 more horsepower and 37 more torque than the previous gen model. According to the brand, the performance car tops out at 193 miles per hour (mph) and accelerates to 124 mph in as little as 10.9 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than the GT 63.

What’s Different?

There are three areas of improvement the latest GT model focuses on. The first is the cooling package. The GT 63 Pro has reinforced high and low-temperature circuits and two radiators positioned in the front wheel arches. Active cooling technology has been added to the top-mounted radiator and the transfer case. Electric water pumps are used to circulate coolant through the corresponding circuits, and the airflow to the underbody of the vehicle has been optimized.

The AMG engineers in Affalterbach also paid special attention to the overall aerodynamics of the vehicle, developing a new front fascia that improved the longitudinal and lateral dynamics while also presenting a more aggressive appearance. Standard aerodynamic enhancing features include AIRPANEL active air control system, the AMG Aerodynamics Package which includes fixed rear wings, and air deflectors on the underbody.

In addition, the standard AMG carbon ceramic brakes offer exceptional stability and fade resistance with six-piston front and single-piston rear calipers. Lightweight 21-inch forged wheels in Himalaya Grey Matte are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires.
